Burcu Uysal , Turkish Airlines cadet was selected to fly AFTA’s newest aircraft following it’s assembly in England.
The newly delivered aircraft for AFTA registered G-THYB is the sister ship of G-THYA delivered to AFTA 11 months previously .
Burcu is the only female cadet in the Turkish Airlines group and achieved one of the highest grade averages in her recently completed ATPL theory exams.
The delivery flight was Burcus first international flight over water. The flight track required complex navigation through Birmingham and Coventry controlled airspace and track deviations due to intensive military activity on our routing.
The visibility was excellent with the beautiful Brecon beacons clearly visible over Wales. Well done Burcu, A great achievement and a memorable flight we are sure you will remember when you are flying with Turkish Airlines.
