On my first visit to Atlantic Flight Training Academy I met with MD Captain Mark Casey, who was very informative, honest, friendly and welcoming. I immediately felt assured that by choosing to train at Atlantic I would not only receive excellent instruction but also be afforded a personal touch where I could discuss, monitor and progress my training as necessary. For me this was very important as I was working full time in the Military, based in Dublin and the flexibility and ‘can do’ attitude displayed by Captain Mark Casey was indeed replicated throughout the Academy.
I developed an excellent relationship with instructors and operational staff alike, all of whom go far beyond their job description to ensure the individual needs of students are met and that training is progressive, challenging, rewarding and enjoyable. AFTA boasts an excellently maintained and modern fleet of training aircraft, but it is the ‘extra yard’ and attention to detail displayed by instructors and staff which makes Atlantic much more than just a flight school.
Having completed my training I was very lucky to get my first job in aviation, flying the Boeing 737-800 with Ryanair. I later transitioned into long haul flying, operating the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, initially for Norwegian Long Haul, and now I am currently flying transatlantic with Virgin Atlantic. AFTA have been there every step of the way throughout my career, offering advice, support and assistance with assessment preparation.
Choosing to conduct my flight training at Atlantic has proven to be a rewarding and successful decision. It has provided me with a solid platform in aviation with excellent instruction and training resources, and also afforded me the opportunity to develop professional relationships and connections which have proved an invaluable source of support and advice through-out my journey.
Atlantic Flight Training Academy prides itself in delivering outstanding instruction in a positive and personal training environment and is an Academy I am proud to have attended.
