Steven O’Neill Testimonial

Atlantic flight training Academy was recommended to me by past pupils from the school who are now working as Captains in Various Airlines. I attended their Seminar that was held in Dublin and was really impressed by how the school presented themselves and how helpful they were in advising me in the next steps I should take.
Upon visiting the school I knew I made the right choice. AFTA has a perfect blend between being very professional and also making you feel right at home. The Facilities are second to none and there is a feeling around the academy that you are already part of an Airline. From day one you are trained to become a captain.
I found the course challenging but the support and supervision you receive from the instructors guides you along the way. There is a wealth of experience throughout AFTA whether you are in the classroom or out flying you can be confident you are being trained by the very best.
AFTA is located on the grounds of Cork International Airport. It is a great experience to be operating out of a busy airport sharing the runway with various airlines. It gives you a real taste of what it is like to be dealing with ATC and busy traffic. Another advantage is the variation in the weather. It gives you the opportunity to experience rapidly changing weather conditions which is invaluable part of your training which I would not have received if I went elsewhere.
AFTA is a school that is continually growing. It has an exquisite fleet of Aircraft and a new 737-800 simulator that will greatly benefit pilots going for any Airline interview. The school works very hard towards helping every student start their career at the end of their course.
As a result I have secured a position with Ryanair as a first officer and I start my training in April 2016.
I cannot recommend the school highly enough and would advise anybody interested in a career as a pilot to go along to one of the AFTA seminars or to contact the school where any of the friendly staff would be happy to help.
