Josh Ryan Testimonial

I began my training in July 2012. I quickly found the quality of training to be that of an extremely high standard. The enthusiasm and professionalism of AFTA’s instructors made learning very enjoyable. Although the weather at Cork can be challenging it meant we had to get used to reading weather charts and making decisions from an early stage of our training.

The MCC/JOC course was completed on AFTA’s new Boeing 737-800 simulator. We were trained from an early stage to use standard airline SOP’s and call outs which I found made the type rating come easier to me than I would have imagined.

Having completed the integrated training course in AFTA I feel I have matured into a well rounded and competent pilot.

AFTA kept in regular contact with me ensuring that I took the necessary steps in securing that important first job, and luckily I am now a first officer with Ryanair and loving every minute of it.
