My name is Niall Quinn and I completed my integrated flight training course at Atlantic Flight Training Academy in January 2018.
From a young age I have always had aspirations of becoming a pilot. Having checked several different flight academies, I was shown around the facilities at AFTA, all of which really impressed me, and soon after I joined their integrated course.
From day one you are exposed to the professionalism and dedication of the instructors and staff. The training was nothing but extraordinary and really prepares you for the airline industry.
All of the instructors in AFTA were approachable and made the course very enjoyable and tailored each lesson to your specific needs throughout training.
Operating in the busy Cork airspace alongside commercial traffic like Aer Lingus, Stobart, Ryanair etc is both challenging and a great experience for any trainee cadet.
Flying around Ireland has really made me appreciate the importance of planning for flights and always keeping a close eye on the diverse and ever-changing Irish weather, developing further my decision making skills.
After completing my training, AFTA went above and beyond, to make sure that I was well prepared for the airline assessment process. The excellent MCC/JOC course that AFTA conducts, had my skills well polished for my airline assessment. Their expertise in interview and CV preparation, which are to the highest standard, were of enormous benefit when it came to the airline interview.
I am delighted to say, with the support and direction of Mark Casey and his team of highly trained instructors, I am about to embark on a career with Europe’s largest airline, Ryanair.
I would highly recommend AFTA to anyone who is contemplating aviation as a future career. It was the best decision I ever made.
