Twelve AFTA Mentored Graduates awarded their Wings at Ryanair HQ

A monumental day as the first Ryanair ‘Wings Ceremony’ since 2019 took place at Ryanair’s Headquarters in Dublin today, consisting entirely of our very own Ryanair Mentored graduates.

Ryanair Chief Pilot, Captain Aidan Murray along with Deputy Chief Pilot, Captain Drew Elbert, presented the 12 new pilots with their ‘Wings’ at the ceremony at Ryanair’s Dublin Offices where they also received a certificate of completion for the Ryanair Boeing 737-800 Type Rating Course.

Ryanair Chief Pilot, Captain Aidan Murray said “Fantastic to see our latest group of mentored cadet graduates at Ryanair HQ today for their ‘Wings Ceremony’, well done and congratulations to all. Onwards and Upwards.”

The newly winged pilots in attendance were some of our very first cadets on the Ryanair Mentored Programme that was introduced back in March 2019 to Atlantic Flight Training Academy. Twelve have successfully made their dreams become a reality, and over 30 more mentored graduates will follow in their footsteps as they undertake their Type Rating, many more to come.

We wish you ALL the very best of luck with your Line Training and look forward to the day we’re a passenger on one of your flights!
