AFTA at the Dubai Airshow

This year AFTA had a stand within the Enterprise Ireland arena at the Dubai Airshow.

The Middle East is experiencing exponential growth in its aviation sector with new orders announced by all the major players in the region.

The positivity and “Can Do” attitude of the UAE is paramount in expanding and developing their buoyant aviation sector. Their ambitious growth and expansion has paid off and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport is a credit to the governments planners

Al Maktoum international has the capacity and space to cope with the next 20 years of expansion of the regions carriers.

AFTA has a long established relationship with the pilot training industry globally and it was an ideal opportunity to meet and talk with the region’s major airlines at the Air show.

Future training philosophies and implementation plans were discussed at the GATE break out events with speakers from Boeing, Airbus and Emirates training management giving fantastic insight into future global demands and aspirations of all concerned.

Some of the latest and greatest military and civilian technology was also on display at the static side of the airshow event which gave a great insight into the various fleet options coming on stream in the future.
