THE SINGLE ENGINE INSTRUMENT RATING (SEIR)
This an additional endorsement that may be added to a Private Pilots Licence to allow a person to fly in low visibility conditions (IFR).
Course Goal
The Single Engine Instrument Rating (SEIR) is an additional endorsement that may be added to a Private Pilots Licence to allow a person to fly in low visibility conditions (IFR).
Course Syllabus
The course comprises of the following segments:
- 50 hours single engine flight training
- 20 hours comprehensive ground school
- A flight test on completion of the training
Requirements
- EASA instrument rating theory exams or ATPL theoretical exams.
- Class 2 medical
- Private Pilots Licence
- Night Rating
- 50 hours cross country flight time as Pilot In Command (PIC)
