AFTA Celebrate International Women’s Day

Happy International Women’s Day to all female aviators at AFTA & internationally.

Today in AFTA we are celebrating with our female cadets, some of which are pictured here, who are following their dreams to become a Pilot. Photo includes Beatrice Secchi, Elaine Acheson, Rachel McBurney, Gabriela Chaves, Eimer Larkin, Sinead Dunne, Rachel Mc Grath (Flight Instructor). At Atlantic Flight Training Academy we are working to promote gender equality in aviation. We would like to invite any women and girls considering a career in aviation to click here and book a visit to our academy to find out more.

As our trainee airline cadet, (integrated student) Elaine Acheson commented: “The Airline Transport Pilots Licence training at AFTA is challenging but rewarding and the instructors at AFTA work with every person to teach and support them to become the best pilot they can be.”

At AFTA we recognise there are a wide range of skills required to be a professional airline Pilot and we encourage any women considering this as a career to contact us by e-mailing info@afta.ie.

This International Women’s Day 2019  we would like to honor Amelia Earhart and all other female pioneers in aviation who pursued their dreams and paved the way for others to follow . #BalanceforBetter #IWD2019
